The Beginning

3.16.2015

So this is the opening of the website for Chrysanthemum Yellow.  All we are right now is one person starting up the website for his Xcode projects so he can put them on the app store eventually.  Maybe one day it will go from just me to several people or even larger...

My only goal now is to begin making apps of any sort that I find interesting.  Games, Social, Note Taking are all projects I ave swimming around in my head as I wander around this city, sit on the train or just walk from one place to another as I get about my day.

The philosophy I have is simple to create useful things that have a easy to use interface and leave you with a great experience.  It maybe a short road or a long road there, but in the end I will get there.

As for me I am a Detroit native who moved to New York City in 2011.  I lived in Manhattan for the year and a half here and currently reside in Brooklyn.  I am a manager of a quick service restaurant and in the pst year I have decided that it is time for a career change and thought that I ought to take my beginning hobby of coding to begin my way into a new career.  I have been teaching myself how to code for iOS and OS X for a about a year now and had to do a little restart as I was just beginning to work on Objective-C as apple announced Swift.  I began this website and my projects because  I have a disappointment with many apps I see and play with out there.  I often think if this were mine I would do  it in this way.  So instead of just wishing things were differently I wanted to go and make things that I want to do in ways that make sense to me.  Do not think this means that I just want to create clones of current apps that have my spin on them.  No I will be making things that solve problems that I want to be able to handle with the computer in my pocket.  I am happy to say though I believe that by June we will have our first product on the App Store with all things going perfectly, but a brand new coder and this being my first project I have no delusions about it working out perfectly.  Hence the three month time line for what I plan to be a fairly simple app.

If you have happened to stop by thank you and if you are looking to reach out please do so.
